Bio
Meet Jarrad, affix’s heart and soul, and our Founder and CEO. Jarrad’s experience spans over two decades where he has worked with Founders and Executive leaders to scale their teams and realise the potential of their business. Driven by a deep passion for supporting Australian startups and scale-ups, Jarrad is dedicated to helping them grow into well-recognized international brands. His vision has always been to create an alternative offering, providing specialized services and solutions to fuel their growth and success.
Advisory Boards and Executive Teams
As well as leading affix, Jarrad is also responsible for building boards and executive teams. It’s his role to help establish new Advisory Boards or Executive Leadership teams and bridge the skills gaps of existing ones. Connecting experienced, innovative leaders with the right complementary skill set positions our client partners to realise the full potential of their business, faster.
Roles include Advisor, NED, Chair, CEO, COO and Chief People Officer. Together with the affix team, Jarrad also supports CMO, CTO, CRO and Chief Product Officer appointments.
How did affix come to be?
The idea of affix had been brewing in his mind long before its birth in 2015. Jarrad was frustrated by the “old-school” search industry that didn’t have the best interest of clients or candidates in mind.
He wanted to create an alternative that put people first, making their experience confident, uncomplicated, and enjoyable. With affix, Jarrad and his team have brought this vision to life, creating a recruitment approach that combines collaboration, integrity, and accountability.
Leadership and Culture
As a leader, Jarrad promotes a culture that breeds innovative thinking. He empowers others, shows great humility, and always makes people feel genuinely acknowledged. His bias for action ensures that our work evolves to meet our customers’ needs.
When not at work, he can be found barracking for the Bombers or cooking on his Big Green Egg if he’s not coaching his kids’ sports. Famous for his Melbourne restaurant tips and top-notch coffee-making skills, Jarrad’s future aspiration is to surf without looking awkward… wish him luck!
