A little about the role…
Panviva have embarked on an exciting SaaS transformation journey, involving the rapid modernisation of their product and a shift towards a microservice architecture running on PaaS infrastructure on Azure. Their innovative work has already been recognised by the media and a number of Analyst firms such as Gartner, having received their “Cool Vendor” title in BPM.

They are looking for a senior developer who will work closely with the testers, product owner, DevOps, and support team to build class-leading products within an Agile Framework. Panviva are big on good coding patterns & love the SOLID principles.

You will be working on an interesting mix of technologies in their stack. Panviva use ASP.NET Core MVC (C#), Web API, HTML5, CSS3, AngularJS, React/Redux, and other interesting UI frameworks. Within a microservices architecture they leverage the use of technologies like ActiveMQ, Azure Service Bus, .NET Core Micro-services, Entity Framework Core & SQL Server, CosmosDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, Azure Search, and MuleESB. Additionally, they focus on automation in our ALM strategy using methodologies, tools & technologies like TDD, BDD, SpecFlow, Azure DevOps, Bamboo, Puppet, Docker and Kubernetes.

Let’s jump into the specifics of the gig:
The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the best-of-breed delivery and implementation of Panviva’s flagship product as well as its next-gen Digital Orchestrator product.

Reporting into the Development Manager, the main responsibilities of this role are:

  • Design and development of Panviva’s growing microservice architecture
  • Playing an active role in ensuring the whole team is developing resilient high-quality code that conforms to code standards.
  • Proactive consultation with the product team to ensure excellence in the product’s design
  • Close cooperation with the QA, DevOps, and support teams to ensure all changes flow smoothly through the full SDLC
  • Documentation of releases for internal distribution
  • Mentoring junior developers to enable them to grow in their role.

The skills you need to bring with you:


  • Development experience in Web application using C#, .Net 4.7 and .Net Core 3, ASP.NET 5 and ASP.NET Core 3.0 (MVC/Web API)
  • Experience with Entity Framework, EF Core, and SQL Server 2017
  • Experience with NoSQL (Cosmos, elasticsearch)
  • Experience with RESTful API design
  • Proven exposure to SOLID principles and Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
  • Experience with Agile principles including Scrum
  • Ability to analyse business problems and design solutions around requirements appropriately
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Experience with Software as a Service (SaaS)
  • Experience with Azure, Platform as a Service (PaaS), Serverless
  • Understanding and pro-activeness in building resilient systems
  • Experience with Identity and authentication flows, specifically working with OAuth2 in multi-tenanted architectures. Experience with Okta beneficial.

Highly Desirable

  • Experience with AI, Machine Learning, and Azure Search
  • Experience with the Event Sourcing pattern
  • Experience with Docker and Orchestration, Kubernetes ideal
  • Experience with strategies and patterns on migrating from legacy systems
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering and/or equivalent.
