Senior Software Developer – .NET


The internet we all use it, and if you’re reading this you’ve probably had a hand in building something on it. auDA have the trusty job of making sure domains are legit, ensuring an open, free and secure internet and without them the internet .au simply would not work. 
auDA is the non-profit regulatory policy body that manages the .au domain of the internet. This sounds easy, but it’s layered with security, regulation and a web (excuse the pun) of technology. 

The product

au Domain Administration Limited (auDA) is Australia’s country code Top Level Domain (ccTLD) administrator and self-regulatory policy body, which oversees the operation and management framework of the .au domain of the Internet.
auDA’s job is to provide a safe, secure and reliable namespace for more than 20 million Australian Internet users. 
They are a community-based not-for-profit public company limited by guarantee.  It is endorsed by the Australian Government and has an agreement with the global Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) to manage the .au ccTLD.

About the role 
You will be the driver of a business critical project, leading the solutions of a large scope of work and leading strategic solutions that will improve productivity across the organisation. 

You will focus on solving business problems – such as driving down DNS Abuse, driving up the integrity of the .au domain, and producing insights from our data.   

You will also have entrepreneurship in providing ongoing support to business units to review and improve existing tools and processes, and bring people on this journey.  It’s a blank canvas to own programs of work across the business and bring your people management skills to the table in helping build out a team. 

Your tech skills: 

  • Previous experience with the Azure and AWS platform stack, Angular, Node, Sass, Java, SQL, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) build tools
  • Familiarity with Git/GitLab software version control systems
  • Domain Name industry experience and knowledge of the Extensible Provisioning Protocol (EPP) an advantage
  • Experience taking security into account from the ground up when developing software – auDA adheres to the ISO 27001 standard and ASD Essential Eight.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/Software engineering or similar field
  • Experience with API integration 
  • Experience with web technologies and CMS platform
