Senior PPC Specialist


If you’re an eCommerce PPC Specialist with some ripper Google Ads experience and you get your kicks from delighting your clients with spectacular results then this, my friend, is THE gig for you!
We are currently working with an awesome Growth Marketing agency on a Senior PPC Specialist role that can be based in either Brisbane or Adelaide [or almost anywhere Australia-wide for that matter], that’s looking for someone just like you. Cool, huh?
This client is an absolute ripper and they’re nailing the ‘Growth Marketing’ space. They’re unapologetically eCommerce focused & performance growth is 100% THEIR jam. 
They also boast a proud Premium relationship with Google and Facebook, with over $10M in annual spend [and GROWING!] under their management. They’ve got clients who are elite brands across North America & Australia, with the majority being in the fashion & apparel, jewelry, health + fitness, and beauty verticals. Aaaaand, in a fairly short space of time, they’ve grown to 45 team members globally. 
These guys don’t do things half-assed. They have an unswayable results-focused compass for their clients and they mean what they say and say what they mean. They also don’t do stupid stuff like make ludicrous claims and overpromise their clients the world, which we all know happens a lot in agency land.
About the gig/ you: 
So, we’d like to think you’re a PPC Specialist with some ripper Google Ads experience who effortlessly knows your way around all things Shopping, Search, Display, and Youtube. To really shine in this role, you’ll need to know just what #PPC levers to push and pull at a campaign level to generate some red hot results for your clients, and because eCommerce is their absolute JAM, solid experience with large Shopping Data feeds and budgets will be a must-have. PLUS,  you’ll need to be someone who can write some killer and high-converting ad copy that Eugene Schwartz would be proud of!
To add to all of the above, this role will really suit someone who can bring along some leadership experience with them or someone who’s had some solid agency experience and is ready to step up into a leadership role and play an integral part in growing the PPC offering for this agency. Ideally, you’re someone who gets excited about the thought of getting stuck in, driving great success for your clients with the view of working closely with the senior leadership team to build out your own team of specialists underneath you as you continue to kick big PPC goals all while you define and grow out this area of the business.
Here are the skills they’ll be looking for in you:

  • Around 2-3+ years of eCommerce Google Ads experience;
  • Feel comfortable in managing ad-spends of around $30K+ per month; 
  • Exceptional Google Shopping and/or YouTube experience is highly advantageous;
  • Strong confidence navigating Excel or Google Sheets;
  • You’re no stranger to managing your own workload and prioritising what’s important; 
  • Have natural problem-solving skills with lots of confidence initiating dialogue with clients and teammates on your thoughts for how to fix them;
  • You’ve been in a senior role in agency land and have a genuine desire to lead a team of PPC Specialists;
  • You’re a good talker and can communicate openly with empathy and thoughtfulness; And
  • You have energy and enthusiasm and a real drive for delighting your clients.

Here’s a snapshot of what you’d be getting up to in this gig:

  • Strategisation, setup, optimisation and scaling of Search, Shopping, Display, and YouTube campaigns;
  • Playing the front-facing role and managing client relationships as you work towards building out your own team of specialists underneath you;
  • Onboarding new clients;
  • Overall client performance and hitting set KPIs – testing and optimizing
  • Identifying bottlenecks, troubleshooting, and providing solutions to execute on client accounts;
  • Following the company’s best practice structures, testing rules and playbooks when setting up and optimising clients accounts/campaigns;
  • Ad Copy that would leave Eugene Schwartz high-fiving you;
  • Technical setup of tracking scripts and conversion event codes;
  • Setup, management, and optimisation of Shopping Data Feeds;
  • Collaborating with internal Senior eComm Strategists and the agency leadership team, supporting the overall team on cross-channel campaign coordination and performance reporting;
  • Preparing and presenting detailed reports for your clients on a monthly basis; And
  • Always staying up to date and ‘on-trend’ with all things in the Paid Search Advertising industry through groups, blogs, and courses.
