This is a pretty interesting gig, nay, a REALLY interesting gig. I’m going to try and outline why and will do my absolute best to spare you from terms such as: digital transformation, agent of change, innovation and the like.
Anywho, as I see it, this role is broader than your standard AM role. So what is it all about?
There are, essentially, two parts to it. Yes, the expectation is that you would have a portfolio of accounts to land on, develop meaningful relationships with key stakeholders, maximise the CLTV and keep them sticky. We all roughly know what that looks like.
The other part of this role is very much akin to a Customer Success function. You’ll be driving exceptional customer experience in on-boarding, plotting out customer journey, working with clients around marketing requirements, educating on product and how they sell, bringing meaningful insights back into various functions of the business to influence outcomes. Such as, Finance/Ops, Marketing, Product and Development.
So there really is a lot more to it. You’ll need to be comfortable managing various clients up to Corporate/Enterprise. Stakeholders will be midweight up to Director/C-Level. You’ll have enough experience and confidence to think bigger picture on business outcomes – shown the problem and go off and solve it, with support but autonomy.
So, who are these guys? MyDNA – go on, look them up.
Candidates across all professions, at all levels talk about purpose as one of the key things they look for. Yup progression, learning, culture are all really important things. Money, too. But what you have here are products and solutions that make a difference to people’s lives – their health and wellbeing. This isn’t a solution or market that is commoditised – not even close. You’re not selling technology that is slightly better or different to the next.
Now, I said I’d refrain from using such terms as innovative, but it bloody is and now is a time of significant growth, success and scaling.
If this interests you and you want to come in at a time of pace and being key to driving growth in the business, cool, you know what to do.
