It has to be said that opportunities like this don’t come about that often.
Often times, the gigs that we work on and the clients we have, talk about growth in pre-revenue environments with a particular runway. And that’s cool, it’s fun and has a lot of upside. With that, though, comes risk.
However, vivi have successfully raised capital and established product-market fit. They have momentum and an already impressive client base here and the US. That grunt work has been done – it’s all about investing in the right areas and putting some thought, strategy and leadership in how to scale. There’s a lot to go at. That’s essentially the gig in what I consider a start-up environment and one where they’re really making a difference in Education.
So, what does all this mean?
You’ll be part of the leadership group, with a small team of direct reports across the East Coast. You’ll have oversight, at a national level with partners/resellers and develop strategy and drive execution into government.
You will be heavily influential on decisions around go to market strategy, sales strategy and framework and lead the team to create a culture of over achievement as the business scales.
So, who do you need to be?
Collaborative, strategic, energetic and able to lead from the front. Be able to assess performance, design metrics and able to build a team as the business grows. You’ll have Customer Success reporting to you, but ultimately, we want someone that can develop new business and bring real leadership and rigour to the sales process.
If you’ve been in a start-up or scale-up SaaS-based environments with responsibility for leading a team in software sales, great. Better yet, you have a real desire to go somewhere that is flat where you can really influence and drive results.
