Sales Development Consultant


We’re *bloody* pumped to be partnering with an incredible Brissy start-up success story that is taking on a global professional skillset shortage challenge – retaining, preserving, and globally sharing the hands-on technical skills of today to help build tomorrow.

Off the back of a Seed Capital raise of $3.25M, the hiring of the now ex-Microsoft Teams APAC Senior Program Manager, and an executive from a VERY well-known Australian start-up/scale-up, this team of industry heavy hitters are looking for a new salesperson team to help them tell more of the world about the “YouTube of hands-on skills”.  Pretty sick, right? 

The product itself was inspired by The Matrix (where all good start-up ideas should stem from!) where Neo learns kung-fu. The idea was to create the industry training version equivalent so people can learn real-world, curated skills via video. Much of the wisdom in professional workplaces resides in experts approaching retirement, and this business is on a mission to record that understanding before they go.

Here’s what you’ll be getting up to day-to-day in this sales gig: 

  • Building rock-solid pipelines through referrals, cold-calls, marketing leads, and relationship building;
  • Creating targeted and proactive outreach campaigns, and working cohesively & collaboratively with the broader business ;
  • Facilitating demos, calls, and webinars on the daily;
  • Packaging up quotes, proposals, SOWs, and handling procurement processes;
  • Flexing your proven sales methodologies to progress, negotiate, and close deals!; And 
  • Packaging up accurate sales reports and updates to management and executives on a weekly/monthly basis.

To really kick some goals in this role, you’ll have…

  • A pretty tidy sales track record, preferably in tech or digital;
  • Be someone who is resilient, curious, and who likes to take action; 
  • Have rock-solid listening skills and can communicate beautifully + confidently [in person or in writing] with a level of confidence and finesse;  
  • Love achieving goals and possess a real sense of self-perpetuated motivation;
  • Have strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with agility around flexing your time and priorities to meet customer and business needs; And
  • Be a good human, obvs.
