From the very beginning, the Founders knew there was too much leak of digital advertising in the industry. They knew that there was a gap, and they put together an incredible team of experts to build a platform that effectively turns online retailer websites into highly targeted and revenue generating digital advertising platforms, and in the process changes the way in which retailers, advertisers, and customers manage and experience e-commerce.
  
Brissy is their HQ, and the business has expanded into the US, Europe, and throughout the APAC region – all in a relatively short amount of time! They are partnered with over 25 of the worlds’ largest retailers, and they have reached more than 100 million customers and 9.5 billion website page views. Pretty cool if you ask me!
  
Who are we looking for?
  
The Product Owner’s responsibility is to create the list of backlog items and prioritise them based on the overall strategy and business objectives. Additionally, the Product Owner will need to map out project dependencies to inform the necessary sequence of development. This person will support the development team by prioritising the product backlog and creating user stories.
  
After creating a product backlog list, a Product Owner prioritises items according to business objectives and overall strategy. They also take into account the project dependencies that will affect the sequence of development. The product backlog is a dynamic document that evolves as the project does. 
  
During the project planning phase, you’ll work with stakeholders to set the steps required for the next iteration. They also meet with the team to refine the process, answer questions, and define areas for improvement. Product Owners must be the primary communicators between stakeholders and development teams. This ensures there is buy-in from the former group on all major decisions, giving clear instructions and priorities to the developers.
  
What you’ll be expected to do

  • Work with SMEs, internal stakeholders, and customers as appropriate to ensure the features in a release are delivering the right customer value and outcomes
  • Sprint backlog prioritisation
  • Create users stories for development sprints
  • Facilitate in backlog refinement activities
  • Drive the Agile methodology adaptation in the Product space
  • Manage the expectations of the senior stakeholders to maximise the product value
  • Contribute innovative ideas via existing issues, new technology and team members
  • Full understanding of the market, the product, the product line and the competition and further understanding of new or existing products from talking with existing customers
  • Work closely with the Design team, assist the team with story elaboration and provide guidance on acceptance criteria
  • Participate in team demos and retrospectives
  • Production and delivery of system/feature level demos to the team and other stakeholders
  • Drive release goals in collaboration with Iteration Manager
  • Explore new trends and innovations that can make our product world-class
  • Ensure a clear understanding of the functional requirements of the to-be-developed systems is reflected in design documentation, test case scenarios and user acceptance.
  • Identify opportunities for improved user experience and functional enhancements.
  • Work with the Test and Release team in ensuring that the go-live version has undertaken rigorous testing and end to end functional delivery is assured.
  • Be a good business analyst, with a strong understanding of strategy, to keep in alignment with the company vision statement.
