Some people eat to live, while others live to eat! If you are the latter this Marketing Manager role could well be the most exciting thing that has happened since Shane Delia founded Providoor!
Tell me more about Delia Group?
Hospitality is back and the brands/restaurants within the Delia Group are busy. On top of that, well known and highly reputable within Victoria. Check out the website but what you have here is a collection of brands and restaurants that are well known and thought of in Melbourne. I would say premium but not pretentious.
It’s also worth noting that Delia Group were the brains behind the creation of Providoor. You’re stepping into a high performing culture where customer experience and innovation is core to how they operate.
Culture is best discussed through a good ole’ chat. It’s tough to be able to give a real human view whilst limited by text. To summarise – close-knit, high-energy, best idea wins! Humble, not pretentious, and not hierarchical. Your voice is heard and there is freedom, autonomy, and trust.
Innovative and very customer-focused. As mentioned, Delia Group is behind the creation of Providoor: you’ll have the access to be mentored and coached by the Providoor team [if you want!], you’ll be able to story tell and link both businesses together – leverage both brands if need to.
Tell me about the role?
As the Marketing Manager you will work hand in hand with the founder, Shane, around setting the marketing strategy for the Delia Group and their 5 (soon to be 6) venues across Melbourne, but you will need to be the expert here.
You will be responsible for the day to day execution and management of all marketing campaigns and as well as thinking more strategically about ways to build brand awareness and drive consideration, not just for the B2C market, but also B2B – but we can chat about that in more detail.
The role is broad, you will sit across it all, but there will be support internally and externally.
As you can imagine, content is going to be big here – after all who doesn’t love a good food pic or cooking reel.
This role will also be responsible for event launches, managing websites as well as small projects like menu design etc There is a lot of scope, but sooo much opportunity – especially if you are a lover of food and the Melbourne hospo scene.
Who do you need to be?
That’s a good question.
You’ve done this kind of role before, but you’re still learning and that drives you – you want to be able to own it. You’re not expected to be an expert in all areas, but you need to have ideas and be able to back yourself.
Interest in food is a must, one who understands the ins and outs of the industry and is passionate about it. The ability to multitask and prioritize as you know, these industries can pivot pretty quickly.
Lastly, to be comfortable with freedom and autonomy on how to execute.
You could be agency-side looking to move in-house. Or you could come from a smaller organisation and have the ability to manage up to Founder level. You have an advocate, trust and will have a clear vision – but you’re the expert here on how we get there.
If this sounds interesting (and, hopefully, makes sense) then apply and say hi!
