Key Account Manager, Global Tech Company

I have just linked arms with a global tech business that has a base here in beautiful Brissie, and awesome, BIG offices around the globe. 

I’m pumped to be out in market, waving their flag, and to be helping them find their newest recruit. A you-beaut Key Account Manager to join their inside sales crew. 

So, who is this client and what do they do?

Our client is a new breed of technology company at the absolute intersection of software, innovation, and service. They provide brands and businesses with the solutions they need to create ripper websites and applications that drive their businesses forward faster. The platform itself is nothing short of spectacular, unified by powerful tech and award-winning service. Pretty *bloody* cool stuff, if you ask me.

Now. Let’s talk about this role, shall we? 

This Key Account Management gig sits within the inside sales team and you’d be tasked with managing a pretty decent-sized portfolio of client accounts. You’ll be supporting these clients through phases of growth and change, looking at ways where you can solve their problems and put out fires by upselling them a suite of nifty solutions. You’ll have access to some pretty cool data and business intelligence insights that’ll arm you with everything you’ll need to not only solve your client’s problems and demonstrate bucketloads of value, but also meet their business goals and objectives too.

Here’s what you’ll be getting up to day-to-day: 

  • Building rock-solid pipelines through referrals, cold-calls, marketing leads, relationship building, and business intelligence tools;
  • Creating targeted and proactive outreach campaigns, working cohesively and collaboratively with the sales development and marketing teams;
  • Facilitating demos, calls, and webinars with new and existing customers;
  • Packaging up quotes, proposals, SOWs, and handling procurement processes;
  • Engage the sales engineering team and leadership to help close the deal with a positive client outcome.
  • Flexing your proven sales methodologies to progress, negotiate, and close deals!; And 
  • Packaging up accurate sales reports and updates to management and executives on a weekly/monthly basis.

To really kick some goals in this role, you’ll have to…

  • Have a pretty tidy sales track record in preferably in tech or digital;
  • Be someone who is resilient, curious, and who likes to take action; 
  • Have rock-solid listening skills and can communicate beautifully + confidently [in person or in writing] with a level of confidence and finesse;  
  • Love achieving goals and possess a real sense of self-perpetuated motivation;
  • Have strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with agility around flexing your time and priorities to meet customer and business needs; And
  • Be a good human.
