99designs is now looking for a Head of Product Marketing to introduce the practice to the business, and establish, then lead a high performing Product Marketing Team.
It’s true. Product Marketing can mean a lot of things, right? An enablement function. Cross-collaboration. Deep dives into knowing your customers and the market in which you operate (or want to operate in). That’s the beauty of this role, the variety. Not only is this a role where no two days are the same, it’s the promise of possibility, and the mandate to build this function from the ground up. Pretty cool, huh?
You’ll work with Product and Marketing leaders to define a product value proposition that wins the hearts and minds of 99designs’ customers and creators in a way that sets them up for success.
Alongside a global Product, Design and Engineering team you will identify and contribute to the overarching product strategy and roadmap, leading with consumer and market insights and a healthy dose of empathy. This will include competitive analysis, research, identifying and sizing opportunities, go-to-market programs and driving adoption of new and existing products and features. You’ll collaborate with your Marketing peers – delivering insights and assets to help improve the impact and effectiveness of 99designs’ brand, acquisition and retention activities.
It’s a role that will help ground and glue 99designs’ product and marketing efforts together.
A little bit about you
Given the nature of the role, collaboration is your superpower! You will love partnering cross-functionally to influence product and marketing decisions, giving a healthy push of novel ideas but you will also have the ability to listen and advocate for others.
Perhaps you’ve had experience establishing a product marketing practice from scratch in a product/tech, agile led business and can share your learnings; the fumbles, the failures, and successes!
You have led a team, and have a passion for doing so, yet you get just as much of a kick out of being on the tools.
You can talk to experience in helping to develop pricing strategies and can establish impactful messaging and positioning across all communication channels that will bring propositions to life and amplify 99designs’ core brand values and personality.
