We’ve just become mates with this ripper new client on the GC, and we’ve been briefed in quite a cool and unique way which I’m personally super stoked about. Why? Because it means the focus in my search is right where it should be. Finding someone who gels with the team and who is a culture fit first. Not someone who ‘ticks the boxes from a lame PD. No folks, there’s no box-ticking with this beaut little gig.
The role itself? Well, it would see you sit at the top of the funnel, focusing on building on an already impressive audience. You’d be playing a lot in paid land, [managing ad-spend across platforms like Google, Facebook, BING, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, plus even Weibo] and you’d be nurturing the already engaged audience this business has built. Then? Throw in some unpaid stuff across SEO and content, and you’ve got yourself a kick-ass remit. And in terms of ad-spend? Well, there’s a lot to play with, and some might even say it’s HUUUUGE.
To some, this remit sounds like a lot to own. But as I said earlier, we’re opening this opportunity up with the view of finding someone who has some serious ‘digital flex’ [particularly in paid]. And the rest? Well, that’s just cream.
Alrighty, time for a little story.
This client of ours has been in operation successfully for 20 years. They’ve gone global and they continue to build upon their successes by giving their diverse customer base memorable experiences; wherever in the world they may be. They’ve got a pretty flat structure in terms of hierarchy, and a bunch of loyal #AF people who have been working in the company for a goooood while. Why? Because this place values the important stuff, and they look after their people, which means they’re in it for the long haul.
They’re BIG on training, allowing everyone to dip their toes in things they perhaps might not have been able to. They want people to always be learning new tricks, and trying new things. Oh! And they’re also a massive deal to their external partners like Google, whereby they get cool access to BETA releases and can play around with stuff before anyone else can.
You’re a hands-on & confident conversions specialist with the chops and ability to manage large media budgets. You are also no stranger to executing on BIG campaigns and you have proven experience in A/B testing, and the ability to conceptualise and test full-funnel concepts. And above all else? You’re a *bloody* good human.
