We’re helping them find a GM, Commercial to lead, champion and grow Alpha’s agency presence + partnerships nationally. *crowd goes wild*

About the gig: 
As the GM, Commercial, you’ll play an instrumental role in leading Alpha’s expansion into new and existing markets. You’ll further develop inroads that have been made in Victoria and New South Wales, and double down on opportunities for growth in Queensland. 

You’ll also identify target industries and target clients, working closely with Alpha’s exceptional in-house marketing manager and leadership team to cultivate an attractive brand proposition that enables the agency to secure aspirational work. You’ll walk into a business where success has been as constant as their desire to level up. And you’ll play a key role in future proofing this success and growth to compliment their already exceptional growth trajectory. 

That’s why we’re looking for a leader who is incredibly well-networked in the agency market, has an eye for capturing the hearts and business of some big and beautiful clients and partners, and can confidently put new strategies in place to ensure future success and optimal growth. Seriously, the sky’s the limit with the impact you can make!

And you? For starters, you’re a natural leader, you’re ambitious, you’re a people person who is values-driven and genuine to your core, and naturally, you’re an excellent communicator. We’d also like to think you’re someone who has spent a good chunk of your career to date in agency land, you’re pretty bloody familiar with it by now, and you feel a natural excitement and readiness to champion a role like this yourself!

As you can probably tell, you’ll need to be someone who is well connected in the Brisbane (and the national) digital community, is confident in marketing and pitching to big clients and you know how to ‘talk the talk’ when it comes to creating successful digital strategies for the clients you’re engaging with. You get your kicks from spending your time meeting people, connecting with key players/ brands/ partners in the market and adding value to them with the support of the incredibly talented team of specialists that will be surrounding you. 

You also enjoy the thought of continuously growing your network with your eye on the prize of growing market share for the agency as a whole. And right now? You’re likely a leader in an agency – perhaps in a client solutions, strategic sales or commercial leadership role.

Here’s a look at what you’ll need to bring to make this role a shining success:

  • Proven experience in an Client Solutions, or client facing Strategic Sales/Commercial role in an agency environment where you’ve had to be at the helm or spearheading client pitches, strategy, partnerships etc.;
  • Strong leadership skills. You’ve managed a team in an agency before and you feel comfortable about the thought of playing a key leadership role for Alpha Digital; 
  • You’re strategically minded and you know a thing or two about marketing and business in an agency environment; 
  • Comfortable working towards growth targets, managing budgets, and mapping out growth plans that set the agency up for success now and in the future; 
  • You’re immersed in the digital and marketing agency world in Brisbane (and nationally) you’re well connected and enjoy continuously growing these networks and partnerships to ensure future success for the agency; 
  • Experience in selecting and implementing new technology in businesses;
  • At least a basic level of financial literacy and a strong desire to learn more; And
  • A people-first attitude – you love to bring your team together and wave the brand values flag of this awesome biz.
