Here’s a tasty number for all you Full Stack .NET Devs who are ready to push into a new role with more responsibility!
Affix have partnered with an amazing software house who in 5 short years have become Australia’s fastest growing and most innovative events technology company. With active partners across Oceania, Europe and the Americas, they are rapidly scaling their team and to be frank, are absolutely smashing it!
During this journey, the Founders helped bootstrap this successful business through acquiring external clients along the way and have kept a #sidehustle agency style business which continues to operate alongside the core business. They build software primarily for startups including a very little known EdTech who they’ve helped develop a platform that through large collections of data aims to improve education outcomes for students!
Founded in 2017, this startup originally spun out of a research project and through collaboration with Government have created incredible insights into the education sector which has created the need for this exact role – a client-side developer who can work closely to build out a data-driven platform that will be capable of helping future kids shape their decisions around career choices! What We’re Looking For?
This is a true full-stack development role. They are looking for a confident developer who is both practical and has a strong understanding of quality control over the front end along with a real appreciation of how the UI appears. This must be backed with really solid server side experience (.NET, MySQL, SQL).
You’ll be joining a business with 15+ developers, however will be given the exciting opportunity to build out an MVP web-based platform which will be built with .NET Core!
This platform aggregates data and presents into a nice, visual dashboard of graphs. This is a project running on AWS, probably using Vue.JS as a light front end, but not as a full SPA. A lot of the architecture, server, security, design etc has been completed in-house, but the plans will be to build a team around this person as the product scales!
You’ll need to be a confident communicator as you’ll have regular contact with the client, who aren’t technical! You’ll feel comfortable working in a consulting style role. The Technical Stuff… You’ll be good at a lot of this stuff:
- Object-oriented programming using C#, SQL,
- Web service programming methods (RESTful Web services and Service-Oriented Architecture)
- Database design with MySQL/SQL
- Unit testing
- Exposure to cloud services (AWS) would be preferable
