Locally grown FinTech are for a hardcore dev. This is a no BS, hands-on gig where you’ll be given loads of autonomy and ability to work remotely… Even post-COVID!
So what do these guys do?
This is a small but established business who have a maturing product and substantial investment from several of Australia’s leading financial institutions. They’re a FinTech who are doing some pretty innovative and impressive things in their space. While it’s not necessarily utilising the shiniest new tech, it’s super successful!
Why do you care?
You can sit at home and smash out magical code… From your most comfortable seat at home… as little or as often as you like! They have an office in Brisbane City any time you’d like to get out of the house, and you’ll be working with a small and passionate team that encourages innovation!
You’ll most definitely have a say over the tech stack for future projects and work closely with the CTO working across the full stack developing a sleek, intelligent, personal financial planning application which assembles all the pieces of one’s financial situation into one engaging digital platform, which enables the user a single view of their finances and an ability to make informed decisions, and also provides advisers with an understanding of their client’s position and needs without a face-to-face consultation. It’s a B2B/B2C play that has plenty of market validation, and through COVID has experienced a huge spike in usage as people are suddenly a lot more conscious of their financial situation.
Where do you fit in?
A critical part of their success is in growing their Software Engineering team. This is where you come in, but I’m sure you picked up on that already. . .
We are looking for an individual who has programming in their blood, is technically sophisticated, and is always focussed on what is best for the team as a whole.
Although this may not be chockers with buzzwords like #AI and #blockchain.…. YOU will be intimately involved in ALL design decisions. You will be given a great deal of autonomy and flexibility over your own codebase, and will relish the opportunity to showcase your skills.
You will demonstrate advanced analytical skills; an eye for elegance and craftmanship; a passion for refactoring, unit testing, and delivering secure and robust code.
The bullet-pointy (necessary) stuff
