Front end Web Developer

There’s something to be said about finding your niche – right? That sweet spot where you’re motivated by what you’re doing, you’re an expert in your field and you’ve built up an optimized workflow to really get sh%t done!

Well, we’re currently partnering up with a boutique digital agency based in Preston whose niche is in designing, building and marketing innovative, custom-built digital solutions specifically for the automotive industry. The solutions they build have enabled brands like Mazda, BMW & Koenigsegg to centralize their data and improve customer engagement Australia wide, leading to better brand awareness and customer success.

They’re not trying to be all things to all clients, but instead – continue to dominate the automotive industry and have some fun along the way.

What’s unique about this Front End Web Developer role?
We’re looking for a Front End Web Developer with a passion for UI development using HTML5, CSS3, jQuery & even a pit of PHP if you have it. Crucial to this role is an eye for modern web design and UI best practice. You’ll mainly be spending your time customizing websites for multiple client briefs, building out new functionality, personalizing UI’s for better engagement while also help to contribute to API integrations when needed.

You’ll be working alongside a close-knit team of 20 in the Melbourne office, made up of web designers & developers who over the last 6 years have developed a mature studio workflow, centered around optimized CMS templates which allow them to rapidly build quality websites at lightning pace.

As a result of this, from one custom build they’re able to quickly change content, languages and regional offers to suit the national and sometimes international needs of the clients they work with. So, expect to be busy. Not running around like a headless chicken busy. But customizing 20 websites a month busy!

What kinda’ skills do you need to succeed?

  • Strong HTML5, CSS3 and responsive design skills – **solid knowledge of Flex and Grid layouts**
  • Solid experience building sites with Joomla and/or WordPress CMS
  • Experience with JavaScript & jQuery
  • A keen eye for design detail
  • Ability to use Adobe CC suite
  • A get sh%t done mentality with a keen desire to learn

What’s in it for you?

Autonomy, ownership and a load of growth opportunities. These guys are laid back, fun to work with and ultimately love what they do. They’ll provide training if you haven’t worked with certain technologies before, and they’ll give you the opportunity to learn from experienced lead developers, flexing your PHP, front end development and API development skills!
They’re based in Preston in the northern suburbs, but are happy to adapt to the changing times and cater to flexible working arrangements once things calm the heck down and isolation is inevitably lifted… one day soon I hope
