I’ve buddied up AGAIN with one of my longest-standing and most cherished partners and one of the highest regarded, awarded and (dare I say it), MOST successful Digital Performance agencies in Queensland. I’m helping them find a Senior Digital Performance Account Manager/ Lead and in case you can’t tell, I’m thrilled about it!

This team is a BIG deal in Digital Performance land. They’ve built a phenomenal business that’s on a mission to help their clients move digital forward and if you’ve already caught on to who I’m talking about, then you’ll know that they’ve done it in a pretty special way. They’ve been incredibly discerning in how they’ve grown, which clients they bring on board, who they hire, how they measure their results, and how they care for their clients. 
Yep, they’re a special bunch of clever humans full of heart and integrity, and they wear these qualities like a badge of honour.

They also don’t do the stupid stuff that can happen a lot in agency-land. Like make ludicrous claims and over promise their clients the world. Instead? They keep it real. All. The. Time.

About the gig: 

This is a pretty special opportunity and one that you probably won’t see popping up too often within this agency. We’re after a Senior Digital Performance Account Manager and yes, this role really does come with those leadership opportunities clearly mapped for you, and in your grasp if you want it. What more could you ask for? 

To be the newest member of this epic team, you must hold the unofficial title of  ‘Senior Paid Superstar’ and you truly know a thing or two about the world of Search and Social. You know what it means to Account Manage some sizable accounts and budgets for an agency. In fact, you’re probably in an agency of a decent size as we speak! And right now? You’re likely keen to take that next step up.

To make this role a shining success, you’ll need to know your way around sizable performance spend and accounts (#obvs) and know just what levers to push and pull to drive success for your clients. We’d like to think you’ll have some ripper client facing experience and feel confident in creating and managing some beautiful yet challenging Performance strategies. You’ve even turned those strategies and campaigns into successful wins for your client portfolio and you’ve got the runs on the board (results) to show for it! You really are a dime a dozen.

  • Play a key role in managing the agency’s larger, more strategic accounts and collab with the coolest bunch of clients to create and execute customised performance strategies;
  • Create, execute, manage, iterate, and report on complex performance strategies and campaigns in conjunction with the junior account managers and executives in your team, whilst leveraging all the ‘COOL’ tools that get the job done!
  • Achieve ripper ROI/CPA for all clients in your ‘folio;
  • Reporting, but make it human-centred. You’ll be quite discerning about how you do it and innately understand how each of your clients likes to be reported to;
  • Throw your creative boots on and write some beautiful ad copy;
  • Stay ‘on-trend’ with ALL the shiny new digital things/platform developments, while sharing your learnings with your epic teammates; And
  • Manage all things budget related to drive exceptional results for your clients and the agency!

And you? FULLY relate to the points below: 

  • Around 3-5+ years of Digital Performance experience across Search, Social and/or Display;
  • You feel comfortable in managing larger, more strategic clients and ad-spends of around $50K+ per month; 
  • Experience with eComm clients is highly advantageous;
  • Strong confidence navigating Excel;
  • You’re no stranger to managing your own workload and prioritising what’s important; 
  • You have natural problem-solving skills with lots of confidence initiating dialogue with clients and teammates on your thoughts for how to fix them;
  • You’ve been in a mid-senior role in agency land and have a genuine desire to work towards a leadership position or perhaps, you’re already a leader within your team right now;
  • You’re a good talker and can communicate openly with empathy and thoughtfulness; And
  • You have energy and enthusiasm and a real drive for delighting your clients.
