I’ve buddied up AGAIN with one of my longest-standing and most cherished partners and one of the highest regarded, awarded, and (dare I say it), MOST successful Digital agencies in Queensland. I’m helping them find a Senior Digital Experience Account Manager and in case you can’t tell, I’m thrilled about it!

About the biz:

This team is a BIG deal in agency land. They’ve built a phenomenal business that’s on a mission to help their clients move digital forward and if you’ve already caught on to who I’m talking about, then you’ll know that they’ve done it in a pretty special way. They’ve been incredibly discerning in how they’ve grown, which clients they bring on board, who they hire, how they measure their results, and how they care for their clients. 
Yep, they’re a special bunch of clever humans full of heart and integrity, and they wear these qualities like a badge of honour.

Digital is 100% THEIR JAM. They don’t offer cookie-cutter packages to their clients. They mean what they say and say what they mean. They also don’t do the stupid stuff that can happen a lot in agency-land. Like make ludicrous claims and over promise their clients the world. Instead? They keep it real. All. The. Time.

About the gig: 

This is an exciting opportunity to join their Digital Experience team and play an integral role in the Account Management of some juicy clients across the SEO/CRO/Web space. We’re after someone that classes account management as their bread and butter. But if you’re keen to upskill or polish up your skills in SEO/CRO, then you’re in for a treat as you’ll have opportunities to develop and build out those more technical skills if you don’t already have them in your wheelhouse right now. Cool huh?

To be the newest member of this epic team, you must hold the unofficial title of  ‘Superstar Digital Account Manager’ and be confident to work strategically with your clients in developing some ripper strategy for them. You know what it means to Account Manage sizable accounts and you pride yourself on your organisational skills and ability to project manage.

To make this role a shining success, you’ll need to know what levers to push and pull to drive success for your clients. You’ll already have some ripper client-facing experience and feel confident in helping create and manage beautiful yet challenging Digital Experience strategies for your clients. 

You’re basically the Marie Kondo of Account Management; you can take excellent briefs for the technical specialists to execute on with your eyes closed and you pride yourself on your ability to manage the successful delivery of these campaigns with your awesome team. Whilst of course, oozing passion for evolving the world of digital experience!

  • Play a key role in managing the agency’s larger, more strategic accounts and collab with the coolest bunch of clients to create and execute customised digital experience strategies;
  • Bring your legendary relationships building skills and form exceptionally strong relos with your Digital Experience clients;
  • Effectively plan, manage and coordinate work with this diverse team of in-house technical specialists;
  • Be quite excited about constantly upskilling through self-directed learning and stay current with the rapidly evolving industry;
  • Assist and teach more junior team members;
  • Assist the Client Solutions team with discovery workshops and pitches;
  • Create, manage, and report on complex digital experience strategies and campaigns in conjunction with the technical specialists, junior account managers, and executives in your team, whilst leveraging all the ‘COOL’ tools that get the job done!
  • Achieve ripper ROI/CPA for all clients in your ‘folio;
  • Reports, but make it human-centered. You’ll be quite discerning about how you put them together and innately understand how each of your clients likes to be reported to;
  • Stay on-trend’ with ALL the shiny new digital things/platform developments, while sharing your learnings with your epic teammates; And
  • Manage all things budget-related to drive exceptional results for your clients and the agency!

And you? FULLY relate to the points below: 

  • Around 3+ years of Account Management experience;
  • A passion for evolving Digital Experience across SEO/CRO/Web (although not essential for you to be technically across the implementation side of these channels); 
  • Experience with eComm clients is highly advantageous;
  • Knowledge of common web platforms such as WordPress, Shopify, Magento, etc.;
  • No stranger to managing your own workload and prioritising what’s important; 
  • Natural problem-solving skills with lots of confidence initiating dialogue with clients and teammates on your thoughts for how to fix them;
  • A good talker and can communicate openly with empathy and thoughtfulness; And
  • Energy, enthusiasm and a real drive for delighting your clients.

And for those extra brownie points? 

  • Analytics and tracking skills (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager);
  • Strong foundational knowledge in SEO, CRO & UX;
  • Experience with enterprise-level eCommerce and marketing tech. (All of the above are ‘nice to have’ but not essential, it’s that strong Account Management skillset, we’re really chasing for this one!).
