The platform is used by health professionals in enabling mainstream video calls and consultations across the industry. These guys have just made health appointments and consultations that much easier for people across the globe.

Attend Anywhere have been at the leading edge of using video technology in the health sector for many years, collaborating with governments, hospitals and health systems helping them offer patients the option of attending appointments online, via a high-quality video call.  

Over the past couple of years use of Attend Anywhere has grown exponentially, becoming a very large-scale mission-critical application in widespread use across health systems such as the NHS in the UK.

About the role:

Attend Anywhere is experiencing rapid international growth thanks to the success of its video consultation solutions across major health systems such as the NHS in the UK.  We are seeking someone with the requisite experience, aptitude and passion to lead, mentor and coach our team of DevOps engineers and drive innovation. 

The DevOps Team Lead will lead a team who are responsible for managing, maintaining and enhancing AA’s cloud platform.  They will operate and maintain the DevOps platform, deliver improvements through the use of Agile methodologies   and undertake in people leadership including coaching for performance, development and team engagement.  The DevOps Team Lead also needs to have a good working understanding of the Amazon Web Services technology stack so they can lead the DevOps implementation at AA. 
  
The role will collaborate closely with the DevOps Evangelist in order to inform the evolution of the DevOps and overall cloud platform.  They will work closely together to develop the DevOps backlog to ensure AA is working as efficiently as possible within a DevOps model.

Major accountabilities:

  • Lead the team in planning and delivery activities as part of scrums
  • Provide Cloud Architectural services to members of the Development and DevOps teams working on projects 
  • Embed Agile practices within the team and across projects
  • Develop team member capability around Agile to ensure consistent practices
  • Deliver enhancements to the DevOps platform identified in the roadmap.
  • Ensure quality assurance in delivery of projects
  • Collaborate with the Cloud Architect and Application Architect to improve standards
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify the DevOps needs of the business
  • Own to the evolution and prioritisation of DevOps backlog including workforce management  
  • Inspire, engage and motivate team members so they thrive by modelling AA’s values and ensuring a fantastic employee experience
  • Support each team member to bring out their best including setting targets, tracking performance to target and performance reviews

Skills must include:

  • An experienced and agile DevOps Leader
  • Extensive experience working on the Amazon Web Services platform 
  • Experience working in an agile, cloud-based environment with a service-oriented culture
  • Strong background and demonstrable experience in CICD, DevOps or similar
  • Experience with integration technology, automation and cloud coding languages
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools including but not limited to Terraform and Jenkins
  • Experience with Atlassian’s suite of products 
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Solid attention to detail, critical thinking, flexibility and resourcefulness
