As part of the Vista family, they help small businesses thrive with expert design that makes brands unforgettable.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p1\"><b><br \/>\nThe Catalyst: Post-Acquisition Scaling<\/b><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\">In October 2020, 99designs was acquired by Vistaprint, creating a need to evolve for 20 million new global customers. Without an internal talent acquisition team, they sought an embedded recruitment partner to triple the size of their product delivery team.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Key objectives:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\">Establish scalable recruitment functions and operations.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Co-design global recruitment processes, train hiring managers, and improve equitable hiring practices.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Develop Employer Value Proposition and Employer Branding.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Create talent attraction strategies for competitive markets.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Maintain start-up culture while scaling.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Increase the representation of women engineers.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Introduce measurable recruitment metrics.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"p1\"><b><br \/>\nThe Challenges: Grow fast. Stay authentic. Build equitably<\/b><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\">99designs had a small team in Oakland, Berlin and Melbourne, and their People &amp; Culture function was still being established.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">affix was charged with helping the product delivery teams \u2018spin up\u2019 new squads over an 18 month period which included roles in product, engineering, design, and an additional focus on attracting women engineers at all levels of seniority, and ensuring the integrity of the culture was maintained while scaling.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p1\"><b><br \/>\nThe Solution: An embedded approach that could flex<\/b><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\">99designs had a small team in Oakland, Berlin and Melbourne, and their People &amp; Tripled the growth of product delivery teams across engineering, security, product, design, data, marketing, community support roles and more.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><strong>40% women in engineering &#8211;<\/strong> Hired 45 software engineers, with 40% women representation, including 4 women in leadership roles.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><strong>Talent Architecture &#8211;<\/strong> Created 99designs&#8217; entire internal recruitment capability with scalable, cohesive hiring systems.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><strong>Data-driven insights &#8211;<\/strong> Provided comprehensive analytics that transformed hiring decisions, including brand awareness metrics, NPS scores, sourcing channel effectiveness, time-to-fill optimisation, and competitive salary intelligence.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><strong>Creative, compelling campaigns &#8211;<\/strong> Translated 99designs&#8217;
