Our story

Creating a genuine alternative

Like many great startup stories, ours begins with a frustration, a vision, and a leap of faith.

During his 15+ years in tech recruitment working for some of Australia’s largest firms, our founder, Jarrad Skeen, knew something wasn’t quite right. The traditional recruitment model didn't always have the client's or candidate's best interest at heart.

And the culprit was hidden in the fees.

There had to be a better way. There couldn't not be... right? He saw that businesses struggled to scale mainly because of two challenges: access to talent, and access to money.

Determined to create an alternative that gave businesses access to great people without breaking the bank, and job seekers the confidence they craved, the idea for affix came to life.
