The Role:
Affix is currently helping a tech startup from within one of the world’s most established and prominent global consultancies scale their practice. We have x3 Technical Solution Architect roles available across different locations – Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra.
You will have the opportunity to work across every sector imaginable. Concepting, presenting and architecting groundbreaking solutions that will affect the very core of how businesses progress and thrive in the future.
You’ll be working end-to-end across healthcare, public sector, defence, industry & commerce, taking ownership of the architecture and design of technology components that form solutions for clients. The solutions in this consultancy typically involve a combination of data engineering, analytics, automated decisioning, integration, cloud and digital channel technology componentisation. So, previous experience in these areas is essential for success in this role.
Who’s the right fit for these roles?
Well loosely, their practice falls into three core areas; Digital, Automation & Cloud and Data Analytics. We’re looking for Technical Solution Architects that have deep knowledge in at least one of these core areas, but an interest in all three.
Ideally, we’re looking for people who have architected solutions like advanced data analytics platforms, AI and ML chatbots, virtual agents, real-time web applications and designed cloud solutions in AWS or Azure from scratch.

Essential to the role is expertise in the following areas:

  • A solid understanding of digital technologies and data analytics, automation, information management and business process based solutions.
  • Clear evidence of the ability to architecturally design and deliver ‘leading edge’ data-driven solutions to significant business problems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of analytical concepts, including complex data structures
  • Designing and delivering solutions containing elements of real-time architectures and decisioning (real-time, web, mobile application channels), business process design and orchestration and business rules engines.
  • Operationalising analytics design, business rules engines and, real-time architectures and decisioning 
  • One or more of the following: analytical models, data mining and complex queries, predictive analytics, mathematical models, optimisation techniques, statistical analysis, customer analytics, real-time decisioning, event-based communications and marketing and business optimisation.
  • Demonstrated understanding of CI/CD, Testing frameworks and Agile ceremonies
  • Experience with a range of vendors and tools, namely: IBM Campaign and Interact, Adobe Campaign and Experience Manager, Teradata, Oracle Exadata, Hadoop, IBM InfoSphere Information Server, Revolution R, SAS, Mulesoft, AngularJS, IBM ODM
