Senior Fullstack Engineer (Rails & React.js)


We’ve partnered with a product company who deliver digital health solutions to promote mental fitness and ensure that people receive the right care at the right time to support their mental health.

Their offering is not a single ‘off the shelf’ product, program or app. Rather, it draws together all of the elements needed to manage mental fitness holistically. It’s built to reflect the way people and organisations use technology today.

At its core is a powerful digital platform, which applies scientifically validated algorithms to “user data” to provide accurate and timely insights about mental fitness.

A little about you:

As a Full Stack Engineer, you’ll be pivotal in the continued development of the platform from an operational perspective, as well providing strategic initiatives – both commercial and technology focused. I’m telling you, this is not just your everyday development opportunity – you will have a real part to play in this companies exciting growth building a product from scratch. On a day to day basis, you’ll be responsible for requirements analysis, hands-on development through to acceptance testing and deploying to GCP.

You’ll be working with a small, passionate, agile and creative bunch who have a real family feel demeanour about them. They live and breathe lean start-up and agile methodologies and also recognise a need to continually test and learn in order to deliver high-quality solutions to their customers.
Ideally, you will have:

  • You are an experienced Rails developer, having designed and delivered multiple production-ready Rails apps.
  • Solid experience in the following areas: Ruby on Rails, Javascript (jQuery, HTML/CSS, Agile software development, Git, Cloud based infrastructure.
  • We use Relay, React, and Redux in our front-end environment so you will need to be capable of learning our approach and these technologies (if you don’t already)
  • You have an understanding of software development techniques such as Object-Orientated Design, Test-Driven Development, Microservices architecture and Continuous build and delivery
  • You are fastidious about producing clear, well-tested and reliable code
  • Experience in developing cloud-based solutions using AWS and/or GCP
  • Expertise in API architecture, design and delivery
  • You have an active GitHub repository and are interested in and stay current with global and local Ruby communities
