Senior Fullstack Engineer | Box Hill | .NET & Azure greenfield IoT build

Melbourne

We’re partnering with a seriously creative and innovative health informatics start-up based in who are taking on the big issues in health tech, and shaking them up! They’re a curious bunch, made up of some of the smartest minds in the industry who are experimenting with ideas that inspire positive change.

Currently, they’re based in Box Hill for the next 12-18 months (parking is available, and right next to a train station), however, they have a plan to later move closer to CBD for convenience!

The team are currently kickstarting the build of an open, scalable, aggregatable medical data monetisation IoT platform capable of integrating any connected external medical device, and they need some likeminded friends to join them on their journey to be founding members.

Now is the time to help build the internal engineering team to really get this build in motion. With a CTO already in place, we’ve added to the team some great engineers and are now looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer who will in time progress into a Technical Lead for the business.

So, you will be in a Senior Engineer role now, but if you’re looking for somewhere that has clear career progression paths on offer into Dev Lead/Tech Lead over the next 6-12 months as the engineering team grows, then this may just be the right place for you!  Your role right now will be 100% hands on, but as the team grows and we look to divide the team into 2 Agile squads and we need someone who might want to step up into this role.

We’re looking for someone who is not only hands-on in the code, but someone that thrives on innovation and building smart technology that genuinely makes a difference to people’s lives – for the better. Passionate about working with data, IoT and health tech? Great! You’ve come to the right place.

As the Senior Engineer, you will work with the CTO and other Engineers in a scalable microservices architecture layout based on Azure Cloud platform, MS technology stack, MS SQL or Postgres DB (some NoSQL DB knowledge and RabbitMQ messaging would be great).

What’s required here? Solid skills coding in the MS tech stack along with the following:

  • .Net, C#, MVC, Azure, Bootstrap (along with any FE Javascript framework)
  • Experience with modern principles such as TDD, CI/CD and automatic testing (including load testing)
  • Exposure to working on cloud-based products (bonus point for Azure, but not mandatory)
  • Strength in managing code – code branching, code reviewing, version control (GitHub or SVN)

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to help build something truly innovative from the ground up with a seriously talented group of people. Being some of the founding members to join the engineering team, you will contribute to building a culture that encourages innovation, sharing of ideas and good old-fashioned teamwork and collaboration, and be rewarded with shares in the business to boot!

If you’re keen on working on a greenfield IoT product build which will genuinely make a difference to peoples lives within a quality Engineering environment and have a passion to progress both your career and your personal development – then send through your details and what makes you interested in this one, and let’s chat!
