Senior Digital Designer – Create Brands, Drive Best Practice | $110-120k + Super


The crazy world of design is continually growing! With so many disciplines mixing, marinating and manoeuvring one another, it can feel like a bit of a blur at times. As a Digital Designer, am I expected to do UX? Should I get involved in wireframing? Should I be able to code? – It’s tough to navigate for sure…

Over the last 12 months, their capability and focus has transformed drastically — from a pure creative studio, to end to end digital services ranging from UX/CX driven business design and brand strategy to working in partnership with start-ups to curate award-winning products and brands that people love. They have 30+ creatives all housed under one roof — with in-house motion design, brand design, content, growth marketing and videography all served up from the same, super creative team.

That all sounds fancy, but in reality what does it look like? – let me paint the picture…

You’ll be the digital design champion in the squad and will be responsible for:

  • Developing original, forward-thinking brand concepts with a pure digital focus – not just logos and assets, but complete brands!
  • Orchestrating what best practice digital looks like in the team. Defining digital standards for things like typography, web standards, accessibility, responsivity, usability et al
  • Translating brand strategy into creative, through art direction across digital deliverables
  • Working with in-house UX’ers and Digital Designers to deeper empathise with the customer experience, ultimately working towards better experiences for users.
  • Creating digital brands and UI kits that challenge the status-quo
  • Identifying ways to continually improve the squad’s output, performance and direction

What do you need in your toolkit for this role?

Our dreamy persona would be someone who can come in and really strengthen the practice end to end. A really important component of this role is the creative and conceptual brand-building element. We’re looking for someone who can go beyond just logos and digital assets – and really dig deep into completely re-imagining brands from the ground up with a progressive, clean and modern style.
