What we need
We are looking for a an experienced Senior Front End Engineer to work in their highly collaborative Melbourne team. You will be supported by an engineering team of five (and growing!), & a Tech Lead.
These guys are looking to draw on the expertise of this person to drive forward consistency across their application and front end practices. The ability to think on your toes, really take initiative and communicate well with the rest of the business is essential.

What you will be working on
The focus of this newly created position will be to implement a complete user interface in the form of a mobile and desktop as Angular web app, with an emphasis on security, user-friendliness and performance. Main duties of the role include creating modules and components and coupling them together into a functional app. Along with….

  • – Delivering user friendly, complete front-end application that behaves consistently;
  • – Ensuring high performance on mobile and desktop including cross browser compatibility on supported operating systems;
  • – Writing component based reusable code, and building customization for specific use case while maintaining a common UI framework;
  • – Coordinating the workflow between the visual designer, the HTML coder, and yourself;
  • – Cooperating with the back-end engineers in the process of building the RESTful API and reduce load to API from front end, wherever possible;

  
All the technical bits…

  • – Experience in Angular 4, or even better Angular 6
  • – Deep knowledge of AngularJS practices
  • – Ability to create self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components
  • – Ability to provide SEO solutions for single page apps;
  • – Extensive knowledge of CSS and JS methods for providing performant visual effects and keeping the framerate above 30fps at all times;
  • – Thorough understanding of the responsibilities of the platform, database, API, caching layer, proxies, and other web services used in the system;
  • – Experience with building the infrastructure for serving the front-end app and assets.
  • – Any experience in automation testing for the front end would be a real bonus
  • – Any medical device experience would be highly desirable but definitely not essential
