We looking to build up the internal CloudOps team who frame and operate digital platforms, run infrastructure, and services across this Global organisation – currently focusing on Big Data and utilising emerging Cloud offerings. What we’re seeking is someone to take the next level of Leadership within DevOps, the ability to guide the team, higher complex projects, drive scrum processes and influence drive and progression.
This role sits within a team made up of passionate and driven members, always seeking to push the boundaries as well as source new ideas and uplift capabilities. There are a number of silos’ being looked after within Cloud Platforms and the new strategy across technology is focused on innovation and proof of concepts, experimentation, and innovation – which is a pretty nice place to be if you ask me!
As the DevOps Technical Lead, you will play a leading role in delivering new capability on the Enterprise Cloud platform, will ensure the operational excellence of the existing cloud workloads and tooling, and will actively work on knowledge sharing of DevOps practices across the Technology organisation.
The team are moving deep into AWS, pushing towards a serverless way of life and have a strong focus on automation from the start of each journey – allowing for a lot of flexibility in innovating with the tech and tools provided to them and influence quality architecture.

What others bit do I need to know?
This is a newly created leadership role. So, what the means is you’re going to have an impact. You will have accountability for designing new best practice cloud solutions, coaching and mentoring Senior and Junior Engineer team members and also incorporate delivery and operational leadership.
In a nutshell? It’s a multi-faceted role including leadership of technical design, implementation and direction, breaking down of high-level business requirements to actionable tasks, sound operational capability and providing technical direction to members of the DevOps & Cloud practice and wider technology groups.
