So… I have a lot of discussions about data, knowing the data, doing the data, sharing all of the insights, being data-driven. All of this stuff. But plenty of places are not doing the basics, don’t respect data hygiene and really maximising the value of what they can extract, learn, use and put into practice.
BUT NOT THESE GUYS! They’re totally RAD. As in, Really Awesome @ Data. Honestly, I’m here all week.
Right, back to work. These guys are a start-up, an actual start-up. Not the Tech Bros that have been going for 10 years doing 150 series B rounds. No. They started not so long ago, with a lot of success to boast already. They’re struggling with the workload, hence why I am writing this and looking for a Data Lead to build a scalable web analytics offering.
These guys are a Data and Content Consultancy. Good, smart Founders that are humble and very human. That echoes through the culture.
OK, so what do you need to have under your belt? I’m not going to use the words ninja, hacker, evangelist. None of those but let’s say you’ve got to be handy with Google Tag Manager, GTM implementation, Google Analytics, setting up new client data onboarding processes and dashboard creation in order to provide relevant insights and really showcasing value from the data.
You’ll absolutely be client facing driving engagement, so understanding what they care about, therefore the metrics to measure and problems you’re trying to solve is a key part of the day-to-day.
What else can I tell you? You’ll have done all of this before, client-side or externally, and if you like freedom, autonomy, being at the early stages of a growing business, having a lot of control in your role – how it is shaped and where it goes and growing a team, then this I think, is a pretty good option.
Sounds good? Sounds RAD? Most excellent. Apply, contact me – hell, do both.
