Big opportunity to take ownership of the team here, with full backing from the top down. You’ll be steering the team to deliver engaging content across online and offline channels, driving results for clients and the agency itself.
At a top level, there are three vital things needed from you to be successful in this role.
Commercial savviness and strategic ability will be essential to success. You’ll be an expert in seeing the bigger picture and achieving financially positive outcomes. How do their client challenges tie into the wider market landscape and how can you help solve them? What other market opportunities could the content team leverage for them? You’ll be out there as a subject matter expert, influencing meetings and helping clients understand why alternate strategies will provide more impact for their budgets.
You’ll be responsible for a current high performance team of two content writers, and will be integral to identifying and attracting new talent to match the agency’s ambition. With the team set to grow, you will show yourself to be a proven leader with effective processes, able to inspire, cultivate team skills and collaborate with the wider agency.
You approach challenges confidently, always ready to trial new ways of solving problems. You drive a line of questioning to truly understand client needs, and closely align your strategies to their goals. Your expert knowledge of online and offline mediums mean you are well-positioned to take calculated risks with innovative strategies and channels.
