Analyst Programmer


We work with some pretty awesome clients, and this role is no different. They have come leaps and bounds in the last few years, experiencing solid growth in their market share. They are in need of an Analyst Programmer to join their team of 10 who look after all of their in-house and customer-facing applications. 
This role will work closely with the business in gathering requirements and enhancements for both existing systems and new applications. In addition, the Analyst Programmer will provide development of enhancements/changes and implementation of new applications. Yes, you get to work on projects including new implementations! Yes, you get to get out from behind the desk and talk to people in the business! So, we need someone who has strong communication skills and a solid understanding of customer service always being at the heart of what you do. 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop requirements for enhancements of existing systems and new applications
  • Participate in the deployment of upgrades and rollouts of applications
  • Develop/Configure enhancements/applications 
  • Participate in the planning and development of projects that involve both the business and the applications support team – running projects end to end!
  • Communicate with and manage the expectations of all levels of stakeholders
  • Prepare SDLC and Project Management documents as required
  • Provide training to end users
  • Participate in software testing and some application support
  • Understanding business processes and procedures, particularly how software is used within the organisation so that you can participate in the assessment and recommendation of changes to software to achieve better business practises/ cost savings

Key Skills & Experience – Mandatory:

  • 10+ years experience, ideally coming from application analyst / analyst programming roles 
  • Programming knowledge/skills in HTML5, JavaScript, PHP and SQL scripting
  • Experience in business requirements gathering & project implementation
  • Excellent communications skills to liaise with all levels of stakeholders across the business and IT.
